Operations Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing Location: Tampa, FL Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | On-Site About the Role A precision aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations. This role owns performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, staffing, capacity, and continuous improvement within an AS9100-regulated environment. What You’ll Do Lead production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Oversee production scheduling, staffing, capacity, and workflow. Lead and develop supervisors and team leads. Drive improvements in OTD, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency. Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. Lead Lean manufacturing and process-improvement initiatives. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR. Develop and track operational KPIs and performance metrics. Strengthen training, accountability, and workforce development. Support customer and regulatory audits as needed. Required Experience 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated environment. Strong working knowledge of AS9100 . Experience leading supervisors, team leads, and production employees. Strong production planning, capacity, and resource-management experience. Proven success improving manufacturing KPIs and operational performance. Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience. ERP system experience. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Aerospace or defense manufacturing leadership Precision machining or complex manufacturing experience Lean / Six Sigma background AS9100 audit experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field What We’re Looking For A hands-on manufacturing leader who can develop supervisors, drive accountability, improve processes, and deliver measurable results in a demanding aerospace environment.
