180 Closet DesignProduction Manager – Closet Design Department: Production & Installation Reports To: Owner / Operations Director Direct Reports: Installation Leads Location: Remote, with required in-person attendance for meetings in Manassas, VA and at the warehouse as needed Position Summary The Production Manager oversees the full production and installation workflow for Closet Design, from materials procurement through final installation. This role serves as the central point of contact for installers, designers, and vendors — solving day-to-day production problems, keeping projects on schedule, and ensuring accurate inventory and reporting at every stage. Key Responsibilities Materials & Inventory Order standard materials and manage special/custom orders Track inventory levels and proactively reorder supplies to prevent production delays Maintain accurate records of current stock items Update designers on available samples, listings, and material options Production & Scheduling Build and manage the production timeline, from order to installation Coordinate installation schedules to align with production readiness Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks that could impact deadlines Team Leadership & Communication Serve as the direct supervisor for Installation Leads Act as the first point of contact for production and installation issues Function as lead problem-solver for on-site or scheduling challenges Keep installers informed of schedule changes, updates, and priorities Hold installers accountable for completing end-of-day reports accurately and on time Qualifications Prior experience in production management, manufacturing, or installation coordination (custom closets, cabinetry, or millwork preferred) Strong organizational and inventory management skills Proven ability to lead and hold a team accountable Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under time pressure Comfortable working cross-functionally with design, sales, and installation teams Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to Manassas office and warehouse for scheduled meetings Key Attributes Dependable first point of contact — installers and designers know they can count on this person Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on reports and inventory accuracy Calm, solution-focused approach when issues arise mid-project Compensation & Benefits Salary: $60,000–$90,000, based on experience Bonus: Performance-based bonus Retirement: 401(k) plan Health Insurance: Subsidized Travel: Mileage reimbursement for required travel Work Arrangement: Remote, with in-person attendance required for meetings in Manassas and at the warehouse as scheduled Pay: $57,400.00 - $89,300.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
