Operations Manager

Job Summary As an Operations Manager, you’ll keep retail store operations running smoothly while helping the team deliver excellent customer service and strong sales. You’ll coordinate staffing, inventory, purchasing, pricing, payroll, and daily store processes, using clear communication and sound judgment to keep work organized and customers supported. Your impact: Effective inventory control and shift management help employees serve customers efficiently and keep products available. Responsibilities Lead and supervise store teams, including recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training and development, and ongoing team management. Oversee retail operations, shift coverage, cashiering, cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. Manage inventory, stocking, merchandising, purchasing, product knowledge, and pricing; apply basic math and retail math to support accurate transactions and sales. Guide retail sales and sales management activities, monitor budgets, and use negotiation and managerial communication to resolve operational needs. Maintain customer service standards, phone etiquette, and organized store processes while supporting employee performance and daily priorities. Qualifications Experience in operations management, retail management, store management, or operational management; assistant manager or supervising experience is valuable. Experience managing a retail industry sales team is preferred, along with knowledge of retail sales, sales management, inventory management, and POS systems. Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills; able to manage teams and competing priorities. Familiarity with recruiting, payroll, bookkeeping, budgeting, purchasing, pricing, cash handling, and inventory control is an asset. Basic math skills and customer service experience required. Bilingual or multilingual abilities and retail store product knowledge are valued.
