Job Summary The Operations Manager plays a vital role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day logistics operations within an organization. Responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining a smooth supply chain. Additionally, leads a team of logistics professionals, implements strategies to improve operational efficiency, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. Duties and Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers to ensure timely and costeffective transportation and delivery of goods. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and adherence to quality and safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and efficient coordination. Lead, train, and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Utilize the warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory, shipments, and order fulfillment processes. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations and customs requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and technological advancements to enhance logistics operations. Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Manage logistics budgets, forecasting, and financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisors. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and transportation strategies. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
