About the Position ACS America is currently seeking an Operations Manager based at our newly built advanced manufacturing facility in Arlington, Texas. We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, hands-on individual to lead the establishment of our US manufacturing headquarters. The role will initially involve managing the fit-out of the new facility, oversee procurement and installation of new capital equipment and support the growth of a production team of engineers and technicians. Once the facility is established, the role will transition into leading composite manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. The role would oversee production, quality, workforce performance, and continuous improvement activities to achieve business and customer objectives. Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and project management skills, extensive manufacturing experience, with prior experience in establishing a new manufacturing facility or production line, and building a production team. Key Responsibilities and Duties Manage the fit-out of a new manufacturing facility including procurement, installation and commissioning of composites production equipment. Work collaboratively as part of the management team to manage all manufacturing related needs of the business. Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets. Coordinate, manage and monitor the manufacturing operations with a focus on improving customer satisfaction. Develop and implement production plans and resource requirements. Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs. Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and manufacturing teams. Monitor and report on operational KPIs, including output, quality, and on-time delivery. Support workplace health and safety programs and maintain a strong safety culture. Provide strategic direction/input for development of best-in-class operations to exceed business requirements. Prepare and manage operations/manufacturing budgets, forecasting and assist in planning the financial strategies for operations. Provide support to the Business Development Manager for new business opportunities. Review capacity of production facility in line with current and forecast opportunities and make recommendations as required. Implementation and/or maintenance of the ERP system. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline. 5+ years' experience in manufacturing operations, including leadership responsibility. Proven experience in composite manufacturing processes and production environments. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Leadership and people management. Operational planning and execution. Continuous improvement and problem solving. Quality and safety management. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement. Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience Postgraduate qualification in engineering or management. Experience with ERP systems. Experience with quality standards such as ISO9001 and AS9100.
