OPERATIONS MANAGER
Southwest Logistics Management, Inc.Southwest Logistics Management, Inc.Transportation & Logistics Southwest Logistics Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated Operations Manager to lead and strengthen our day-to-day transportation operations. Founded in 2002, Southwest Logistics is a family-owned, woman-owned transportation brokerage committed to exceptional customer service, strong carrier relationships, communication, accountability, and operational excellence. THE ROLE The Operations Manager will oversee daily logistics operations while leading our dispatch and operations team. We are looking for someone who understands the fast-paced transportation industry, knows how to solve problems before they become problems, and can keep customers, carriers, and internal teams moving in the same direction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage daily dispatch and transportation operations Supervise, train, and support dispatch and operations personnel Coordinate and monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery Maintain strong communication with customers, carriers, and drivers Manage carrier capacity and help develop reliable carrier relationships Monitor on-time pickup and delivery performance Handle service issues, delays, escalations, and operational challenges Ensure accurate load documentation and operational procedures Assist with rate negotiations and transportation cost management Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and profitability Maintain high standards for accountability and customer service Work closely with ownership and management on company growth and operational strategy WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO Has strong transportation or logistics experience and is comfortable taking ownership of an operation. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, decisive, and able to lead a team while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Experience with freight brokerage, truckload transportation, dispatching, carrier management, or logistics operations is strongly preferred. WHY SOUTHWEST LOGISTICS?
