Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Operations Manager is responsible to supervise and manage the financial services, communications, administrative resources, and human resource functions to support operations for the Corning branch. The responsibilities include recruiting, training, and leading the employees in the back office. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed.


    

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Overall responsibility to lead the office administrative staff and provide administrative and operational support to departments at the Corning branch. 

· Responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and continued development of all staff under position’s umbrella. This includes scheduling and ensuring proper staff coverage.

· Act as lead user/contact with Corporate MIS, finance, Human Resource & Payroll Departments, Marketing Department to ensure staff access to appropriate training as new systems are implemented.

· Quality control assurance performed on all flyers, building signage, bulletin boards and all branch written communication.

· Oversee all back office responsibilities associated with human resources, accounts payable/receivables, cash reports, insurance, purchasing, document retention, program data and billing per YMCA of Greater Rochester standards.

· Coordinate the workflow of the office to assure maximum amount of adminstrative support for branch operations.

· Responsible for providing assistance to the development department for Annual Campaign.

· Responsible for the overall facility appearance, and related equipment.

· Responsible for providing support services for the Branch Board as assigned.

· Ensure all back office operations are consistent with Association procedures, including maintenance, emergency, accident, purchasing, personnel, and accounting systems. 

· Maintain all required certifications.

· Attend all required meetings and training.

· All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  

· Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma. A Bachelor’s degee in business or related field preferred. 

· Must have at least three years’ of administrative and supervisory experience. Two years prior YMCA experience is preferred, but not required. 

· Proven experience in accounting, financial systems, computer technology, human resources/payroll, and general business procedures are required.

· Must be self-motivated, hands on team leader with strong communications, networking and collaboration skills.

· High level of attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to high standards of customer service.

· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Polished, professional demeanor with excellent written and spoken communication skills.  

· The candidate should be proficient in computer skills and knowledge of various office software. 

· CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.


  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to sit or stand for extended duration of shift.

· Must be able to bend and stoop frequently.

· Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds.
