Operations Manager Job Overview We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate daily operations across our retail locations. This role is responsible for supporting efficient store performance, customer service, staff supervision, inventory management, and administrative processes. The Operations Manager will oversee sales activities, team operations, inventory levels, financial and administrative procedures, and operational initiatives designed to improve store performance and customer experience. Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations and ensure established procedures are followed consistently. Supervise retail staff, assign responsibilities, provide feedback, and support achievement of established sales and service goals. Manage inventory levels through purchasing, merchandising, stock replenishment, and inventory control procedures. Coordinate recruiting activities, participate in interviews, and support onboarding and training of new employees. Oversee payroll-related processes, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative records in accordance with company procedures. Implement pricing updates and promotional activities in coordination with established marketing plans. Monitor POS systems and assist with resolving transaction or system issues. Develop and deliver training related to sales techniques, customer service, product knowledge, and operational procedures. Maintain standards for cashiering, store organization, cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Monitor store expenses, support budgeting activities, and help allocate resources effectively. Communicate operational updates, expectations, and performance information to staff and management. Identify operational issues and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, service quality, and store performance. Maintain appropriate records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable procedures. Qualifications and Experience Previous supervisory or management experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a related environment. Experience managing retail sales activities, staff scheduling or supervision, and store performance. Knowledge of merchandising, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and sales operations. Experience participating in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee training. Experience with payroll-related processes, bookkeeping, administrative tasks, or financial record keeping is preferred. Ability to use POS systems and follow established cash-handling and transaction procedures. Basic math and record-keeping skills for accurate transactions and financial documentation. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple operational responsibilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with employees, customers, vendors, and management. Ability to provide clear direction, address workplace issues, and support consistent application of company procedures. Additional language skills are an asset where required to communicate with assigned customers, employees, or business partners. Position Expectations The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining efficient store operations while supporting customer service, employee development, inventory control, and financial accuracy. The position requires sound judgment, organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities while following company policies and procedures.
