Operations Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Operations Manager to lead our retail operations with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily store functions, manage teams, and ensure seamless execution of sales, customer service, inventory control, and operational procedures. Duties Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development to ensure high performance and excellent customer service. Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage. Manage cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering activities with accuracy and integrity. Coordinate purchasing decisions, vendor negotiations, and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels while controlling costs. Implement sales strategies for retail industry products like wireless devices or other merchandise to meet or exceed sales targets. Conduct employee orientation sessions and facilitate ongoing training on policies, procedures, and customer service standards. Monitor store performance metrics using organizational skills to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements across all store activities. Foster a team-oriented environment through effective managerial communication and leadership that motivates staff toward shared goals. Oversee shift management duties including scheduling staff coverage during peak hours to ensure smooth operations at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or operations management within a fast-paced environment with supervisory responsibilities. Strong background in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development processes. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated proficiency in managing payroll systems, bookkeeping tasks, inventory management software, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Retail industry sales team management experience with a focus on retail sales growth and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales calculations, budgeting, and basic math skills for daily operations. Effective leadership qualities with managerial communication skills that inspire teams to excel. Experience supervising retail staff in merchandising, stocking, inventory control, cashiering, and store upkeep. Strong organizational skills combined with time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently.
