Operations & Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations & Logistics Coordinator to drive efficiency across our supply chain and warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination of transportation, inventory management, procurement, and warehouse distribution activities. Your expertise will ensure seamless logistics processes, optimize supply chain performance, and support cross-functional teams in delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead process improvements, leverage data analysis tools, and manage vendor relationships to enhance operational excellence. Duties Manage warehouse distribution activities, including stocking, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and inventory control to ensure accurate stock levels and timely order fulfillment. Coordinate transportation planning and logistics management using transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to optimize freight routes and reduce costs. Oversee procurement processes by sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Utilize data analysis skills with tools like Tableau, SQL, Excel data analysis, and spreadsheets to monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and implement process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on demand planning, production planning (MRP), category management, and inventory management systems to align supply chain activities with business goals. Lead materials management initiatives including manual handling procedures, materials sourcing, and inventory management systems to maximize efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure effective communication across departments by facilitating transportation management discussions, customer service coordination, and supplier management to enhance overall logistics operations. Requirements Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong understanding of warehouse experience, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems (IMS), and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP. Demonstrated skills in transportation planning, freight management (including 3PL providers), shipping logistics, and international trade regulations. Proficiency in data collection techniques, analysis skills using Excel or Tableau for supply chain analytics, SQL for database querying, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage procurement activities including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, pricing strategies, and vendor management experience. Hands-on experience with forklift operation certification or warehouse equipment handling is preferred. Strong analytical thinking for root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners in logistics management. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), inventory control practices, demand planning tools (MRP), and shipping & receiving procedures.
