The Operations Leader is responsible for the successful operations of the factory which include leadership of all phases of production, scheduling, equipment maintenance, etc. Responsibilities also include involvement in recruiting, hiring, training of team members and factory up-keep.
Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:
· Key Member of Wil-Ro’s Leadership Team.
· Goal setting, capacity planning, overall leadership in all parts of manufacturing process.
· Responsible for Team Leaders in Welding/Fabrication, Paint/Prep, Product Finishing/Install – hold leads accountable for sharing team and individual goals, meeting daily/weekly/monthly goals.
· Create and develop programs to track daily operations, productivity, discipline, tier/pay matrix placement, advancement, performance reviews, training, etc.
· Work with Culture Creator to make hiring decisions for factory positions; take ownership of offboarding team members failing to meet expectations after proper training, disciplinary action, etc.
· Enforce all team member policies related to attendance, safety, productivity, and quality
· Make Manufacturing Fun by engaging the team, demonstrating company core values and strong leadership.
· Implement and standardize operating procedures (SOPs) across all production areas.
· Ensure production scheduling aligns with demand, inventory levels, and labor capacity.
· Partner with engineering and leadership to improve manufacturability and product flow.
· Communicate production status, risks, and capacity constraints to leadership team.
· Establish clear career paths and skill progression within the factory.
· Lead regular performance reviews and feedback cycles for all production staff.
· Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards.
Operations Leader is 100% hands-on, engaging with factory team the entirety of each production shift. Salary and bonuses commensurate with experience, meeting and exceeding production goals, and retaining quality factory team members.
