Operations Excellence Supervisor

The Operations Excellence Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of warehouse systems and standardized operating processes across the organization. This position serves as a bridge between Operations, Inventory Control, Training, and WMS Development teams to ensure site teams understand not only how to use the system, but how system functionality supports effective warehouse operations. The primary focus of this role is teaching and developing site teams. The Operations Excellence Supervisor will conduct classroom, hands-on, and testing-environment training for operators, supervisors, managers, Inventory Control teams, and other users. The role will partner directly with site leadership before, during, and after deployments to ensure teams understand key functionality, operational expectations, and new processes. This position may also be required to support operational execution directly. The Operations Excellence Supervisor will develop strong knowledge of Inventory Control best practices and warehouse process standards. Through time spent in facilities, the role will observe workflows, identify process and system gaps, distinguish training opportunities from true WMS defects, document issues, and work with WMS developers and business stakeholders to drive improvements. This position requires strong communication, teaching, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to travel frequently and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Training & Team Development Deliver instructor-led, hands-on, and system-based training for warehouse associates, supervisors, managers, Inventory Control teams, and other operational users. Conduct training using WMS testing and training environments to allow users to safely practice workflows before executing transactions in production. Develop user knowledge of system functionality, warehouse processes, troubleshooting techniques, and operational best practices. Reinforce standardized processes and system-specific nomenclature across facilities. Provide coaching and follow-up support after training to reinforce adoption and identify additional development needs. Support the creation and continuous improvement of training materials, process documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, and troubleshooting guides. Help develop site-level subject matter experts and super users who can provide sustainable local support following deployments. WMS Deployment & Site Support Travel up to 50% of the time to support WMS deployments, operational readiness, training, process implementation, and post-deployment stabilization. Partner with site leaders to prepare teams for new WMS functionality, process changes, system enhancements, and deployments. Review key deployment functionality with Operations and Inventory Control leadership to ensure processes are understood before go-live. Provide on-site support during deployments and stabilization periods, helping teams troubleshoot issues and correctly execute new processes. Observe how system functionality performs within real-world warehouse operations and identify opportunities to improve system adoption or process execution. Help ensure new functionality is operationally practical, clearly understood, and consistently executed across facilities. Inventory Control & Operational Excellence Develop strong knowledge of Inventory Control fundamentals and best practices within a 3PL environment. Support standardized cycle count, inventory investigation, adjustment, replenishment, receiving, putaway, picking, and inventory accuracy processes. Work with Inventory Control and Operations teams to understand the root cause of inventory discrepancies and recurring operational issues.
