Questions you might be asking How will I make an impact? You’ll be the go-to partner for production and finance, ensuring costs are precise, inventory is accurate, and the close is predictable. From daily manifests to month-end reporting, your work will drive decisions across the plant. What will my week look like? Kick off by preparing the daily shipping and receiving manifest. Audit arriving raw-material shipments and match each to the correct purchase-order documentation. Review laminating job bags and make sure materials are allocated to the right jobs. Verify material issues flow correctly through production and WIP; organize and file job bags and sheeting paperwork. Manage any RTV materials and execute the necessary inventory adjustments. Lead a weekly production waste meeting and advance waste-reduction strategies. Run weekly audits of finished goods and subassembly materials on hand. Calculate and oversee production KPIs for the incentive plan. What are my recurring responsibilities? Maintain standard costs and perform ongoing cost and inventory accounting. Manage physical inventory and cycle-count programs, including valuation and obsolescence reviews. Review and close all manufacturing jobs after production is completed. Maintain the WIP balance for the trial balance and reconcile inventory stock status to the trial balance during the month-end close. Calculate monthly COGS to appropriately match expenses with revenue. Prepare and submit the month-end gross-profit report. Support the month-end close schedule and perform balance-sheet analysis.
