Location: Kings Wood Products Inc. – Paris, ON
Working Schedule: Mon-Fri (onsite) 6:30am to 3:30pm
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day operational effectiveness of Kings Wood Products Inc., a subsidiary of Weston Forest, by assisting the Operations Manager across logistics, systems, quality, health & safety, and administrative functions. This role plays a key support function in ensuring operational processes, documentation, and coordination activities run smoothly and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Working closely with the Operations Manager at Kings and collaborating with Weston Forest stakeholders where required, the Operations Coordinator provides hands-on support in logistics coordination, ISO-related documentation, health and safety activities, system administration, and general operational tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working across office and operational environments, with a strong willingness to support where needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Management Support
Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager at Kings Wood Products Inc.
Assist with coordination of operational priorities, documentation, and follow-up items.
Support operational planning activities and general workflow organization.
Logistics & Operational Coordination
Support logistics activities, including coordination of inbound and outbound shipments at the Kings facility.
Assist with documentation related to shipping, receiving, and material movement.
Liaise with internal Kings teams and external partners to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Provide general support to warehouse and operations staff as required.
Systems & Data Support
Utilize Salesforce/TallyWorks in alignment with Weston Forest standards to support operational tracking, reporting, and coordination activities (experience considered an asset).
Use TallyWorks to assist with inventory tracking, operational data entry, and system updates (experience considered an asset).
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across operational systems.
Quality, ISO & Compliance Support
Support ISO-related processes and documentation at Kings, ensuring alignment with Weston Forest standards.
Assist with preparation for audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives (ISO experience considered an asset.
Help ensure operational activities comply with quality, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
Health & Safety Support
Support Health & Safety initiatives and documentation at the Kings facility.
Assist with maintaining compliance with OHSA regulations and Weston Forest safety standards.
Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions to management promptly.
Promote a safe and compliant working environment across operations.
Hiring & Workforce Support
Provide administrative and coordination support related to hiring and onboarding activities at Kings.
Assist with training documentation, certification tracking, and workforce records as required.
Technical & Operational Support
Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings to support operational understanding and coordination.
Hold or be willing to obtain a lift truck licence (considered an asset).
Provide flexible, hands-on support across operational functions as needed.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education & Certification
Post-secondary education in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
Health & Safety or ISO-related training is considered an asset.
Lift truck licence is considered an asset
Experience
Experience in operations, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred.
Previous exposure to Salesforce preferred.
Experience with TallyWorks, ISO systems, or logistics coordination considered strong assets.
