Based in the Acheson Manufacturing facility, the Operations Coordinator supports the effective execution of operational activities by coordinating production support functions, analyzing operational data, and supporting workforce and training readiness within the Operations Department.
This role works closely with Operations Managers, Supervisors, and Leads to analyze performance metrics, support production and workforce planning, administer operational systems, and coordinate training activities to ensure alignment with operational requirements and business objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
Coordinate operational support activities to align workforce availability with production schedules and operational priorities
Analyze hours to budget, utilization, and KPI metrics to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
Support short-term operational and workforce planning by coordinating staffing requirements, training readiness, and production demands
Assist Operations Managers with execution planning and follow-up on operational action items
Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly and quarterly operational performance reports
Maintain standardized KPI dashboards and reporting tools for the Operations Department
Review and validate operational data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
Provide analytical summaries and insights to support operational decision-making
Support system reporting, data integrity, and troubleshooting related to operational and training data
Assist with system improvements, documentation, and user support
Maintain training, versatility, and competency matrices and track completion status
Support the development and documentation of individual employee training plans
Assist with the development and documentation of operational processes and execution plans
Assist with department activity schedules
Support the creation and maintenance of process maps and standard work documentation
Document meeting minutes and track completion of operational action items
Conduct research and analysis on production-related projects or operational issues
Provide coordination support to Operations Managers, Supervisors, and Leads across departments
Support scheduling and tracking of employee hours and vacation for operational leadership
Act as a point of contact between the operations manager and the different departments within our organization.
Minimum Qualifications
1-3 years administrative experience in an operations or training department
Completion of a college diploma or certificate in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
Exposure or experience working within manufacturing, fabrication or an industrial setting would be considered an asset
Proficiency in MS Office
