About the role:
The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Operations team by ensuring all equipment within the region is fully prepared to meet its schedule, including trailer inventory, pre-season loads, and coordination of end-of-season maintenance and winter overhauls. This role partners closely with Trip Leaders and Trip Prep Specialists, providing reliable, high-quality support that enables exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in producing strong results, with the ability to anticipate needs and plan ahead. They are comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, energetic team, value hands-on work, and are motivated by contributing to a best-in-class travel experience.
What you'll be doing:
Assist with warehouse inventory and order necessary items to ensure stock is sufficient for spring Unit loads
Coordinate “Unit Load” work and act as the point of contact for all staff scheduled for this work
Review and update “Canadian Unit Inventories” with help of operations leads to meet requirements for upcoming seasons
Assist in the receiving & preparation and then tear-down & return of rented vans.
Assist in the administering of warehouse traffic, moving vehicles, keeping traffic corridors clear.
Monitor Driver compliance for Canadian staff with guidance from the Operations Specialist
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Canmore warehouse area
Ensure Warehouse work areas are adequate, organized and set up well for the season
Respond to and resolve vehicle and equipment issues in the field
Assist in the supervision and security of all Backroads Canada Corp. tools, supplies, trailers, vans, and facilities
Travel to region to perform equipment repair and overhaul seasonally may be required needed
