Job Summary We are a growing wholesale and ecommerce company looking for a detail-oriented Operations Associate to manage the full flow of goods in and out of our warehouse — from import container scheduling through final shipment to major retail accounts. This role is a mix of office work (container tracking, retailer routing, BOLs, label creation, EDI transactions) and hands-on warehouse support (carton labeling, pallet building, occasional hand-packing). We're looking for someone organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning a critical part of our operation with real autonomy. Experience with EDI transactions and retail vendor compliance systems is a major plus for this role, but not required if associate is open to learning new systems. Key Responsibilities Schedule container drop-off appointments with drayage truckers and track inbound containers through arrival Print packing lists for the warehouse team ahead of container unload Route Port of Entry containers and outbound purchase orders using retailer systems Support and manage EDI transactions with retail trading partners Create Bills of Lading (BOLs), label plans, carton labels, and pallet labels Work alongside the warehouse team to apply labels to cartons and build complete pallets (lifting up to 30 lbs) Hand-pack specific orders with feather inserts as needed Support special projects, such as processing Amazon returns (repacking, palletizing, and preparing for outbound shipment) Qualifications Experience with retail vendor routing portals and/or EDI systems Experience creating BOLs, carton labels, pallet labels, and label plans Familiarity with import/container logistics — container tracking, appointment scheduling, basic port terminology Comfortable learning and navigating multiple web-based systems/portals Able to lift/move cartons up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for shift duration Highly organized with strong attention to detail — this role directly affects retailer compliance and chargeback risk Reliable transportation and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Skills Direct hands-on experience with EDI transaction sets (850, 856, 810) or EDI compliance troubleshooting Prior experience in wholesale/ecommerce fulfillment shipping to big-box or department store retailers Proficiency in Excel Experience with WMS or inventory management systems We reward high performers.
