Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - Atlanta, 3705 Wilson Rd Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Operations Assistant Ocean Import - 130775 Time Type: Full Time Operations Assistant, Ocean Import As an Ocean Import Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the ocean import operations team in ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight into the country. You will assist in coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customer requirements, and company policies. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in processing ocean import shipments from start to finish, including documentation, customs clearance, and delivery. Liaise with customers, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth movement of freight. Coordinate with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of shipments. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns related to ocean import shipments. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date shipment records in the company's transportation management system. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Educational background / Work experience Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, logistics, or international trade preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in ocean import operations or a related field preferred. Skills & Competencies Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Customer service-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with transportation management systems. Familiarity with ocean import documentation and procedures. Understanding of INCO terms. Language skills Fluent in English (oral and written) Computer Literacy Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience working with transportation management systems.
