Job Title: Operations Analyst (Aviation)

Job Description and duties:

  • Directly support the Project Manager and Project Office by performing planning, programmatic, financial management and/or budgetary activities.
  • Position is the central basis of an Ops Cell at the Product Office level.
  • Currently, the Product Managers or Deputies act as action officers to answer the increased demands present in a current day environment.
  • Responsible to the Project Manager to accept, track, and prepare responses to the greatly increased numbers of taskers received in several different data bases, to include TMT.
  • provide recommendations for technical data, consisting of data requirements, logistics product data, equipment technical publications, specifications and standards, intellectual property (data rights), technical data package, engineering design info, configuration control data, quality control data, manufacturing data, and IPS element process for technical data. 
  • Provide logistics support to the Apache publications team to develop, revise and maintain equipment technical publications per statutory
    and regulatory requirements for the Apache weapon system to include planning, scheduling, authoring, formatting, publishing and review coordination.
  • Update or convert original documents from original source into eXtensive Markup Language (XML) format using Arbortext.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations regarding technical publications development to include verification and demonstration of all approved technical manuals, tasks, tools, and calibration and test equipment requirements for the Apache system.
  • Provide support and recommendations for field reporting and processing utilizing the Army Amazon Web Services (AWS) systems
  • Coordinate within the respective Product Office and functional Division, as required, to prepare responses and staff actions.
  • This position requires working and interfacing directly with other analysts and engineers across all offices and divisions in the Program Office, and with Department of the Army and Program Executive Office contacts for taskers, execution reviews, and other leadership meetings as required.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to the company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures, and guidelines.

 

Education/Experience:

Direct related job experience in the following areas:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science and 12 years of experience, Engineering, Liberal Arts or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years relevant experience and familiarity with and understanding of how Army staff work is coordinated and approved, how the staffing channels work, and how taskers are handled is required.
  • Strong familiarity with Army program office processes and PEO Aviation database operations.
  • Experience with the technical aspects of Army programs, particularly regarding procedures, analysis, operations, and support activities is also preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently act as a consultant, to set priorities, to organize tasks, monitor assignments, and ensure completion of assigned work.
  • Strong capability operating Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
