The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Strong knowledge of lab consumables, sterilization processes, and safe handling of cryogenic and compressed gases. Proven ability to manage inventory systems and coordinate multiple service workflows. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. How you will thrive and create an impact Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will: Lead and mentor a team of 10 GLS associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of general lab consumables to ensure uninterrupted research operations. Manage glass wash and autoclaving services, ensuring all labware is cleaned, sterilized, and returned on schedule. Coordinate the safe handling, storage, and replenishment of liquid nitrogen (LN₂) tanks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Oversee compressed gas cylinder management, including ordering, delivery, storage, and return. Maintain accurate records of inventory, usage, and service schedules, using digital tracking systems where applicable. Collaborate with SHE (Environmental Health & Safety) teams to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
