Office & Shipping Assistant

Industrial Motions Engineering, Inc. is a small engineering and manufacturing company in Wilmington, Massachusetts. We are looking for a dependable, organized individual to join our team in a varied position combining office support, shipping and receiving, and occasional hands-on work in our manufacturing shop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to learn different aspects of a small manufacturing business. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Responsibilities will include a combination of: Prepare packing lists and other shipping documentation Assist with shipping and receiving Process vendor invoices and related paperwork Perform data entry and maintain accurate records Scan, organize, and maintain electronic documents Assist with light purchasing and vendor communication Receive and organize incoming materials and supplies Assist with inventory-related paperwork Perform general clerical and office support Package parts and prepare orders for shipment Occasionally assist in the shop with light assembly, washing/cleaning parts, and similar tasks Help with other day-to-day activities as needed in a small-team environment What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable using computers Willing and able to learn new software and procedures Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, and coworkers Able to work independently while also being part of a small team Willing to move between office and manufacturing/shop responsibilities Interested in learning and taking on new responsibilities Basic Microsoft Office skills are preferred. Previous experience in office administration, shipping/receiving, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, or a similar environment is helpful but not required . Entry-Level Candidates Welcome We are very open to applicants beginning their careers, including recent graduates of vocational, technical, or trade school programs. We're more interested in finding someone with a good attitude, strong attention to detail, computer aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn than someone who already knows every aspect of the position.
