Metal recycler company is hiring an OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR to join our team in Trujillo Alto, PR. POSITION SUMMARY: The Office Administrator will oversee and coordinate daily administrative operations while providing support to accounting and logistics functions. This role focuses on managing office processes, assisting with payments, collections, and financial documentation, coordinating port logistics, maintaining accurate records, and supporting inventory and cost control. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth administrative operations, support compliance efforts, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and coordinate daily administrative operations and office activities Provide administrative support to accounting, including documentation, data entry, and financial report preparation Assist with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), invoicing, and collections follow-up Process payroll and maintain accurate employee and new hire documentation Handle SURI filings, permits, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements Coordinate port, traffic, and logistics operations, including cargo release (Levantes), customs processes (Aduana), shipping documentation, and compliance with import/export requirements and local distribution within Puerto Rico Maintain organized records, files, and administrative documentation Assist with budget tracking, expense monitoring, and cost control Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor coordination Support the development and improvement of administrative processes and workflows Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Perform other duties related to the position and to support the efficient and smooth operation of the company REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field 8–10 years of experience in office administration, accounting, or operations management (preferably in Puerto Rico) Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations Experience with SURI (Puerto Rico Treasury system) and tax filings/compliance reporting Experience in port logistics operations, including cargo release (levantes) Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) Proficiency in SAGE, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office Suite Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills BENEFITS & COMPENSATION: Pay: $16.00phr Health Insurance Vacation & Sick Leave Benefits as required by law Equal Opportunity Employer Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Work Location: In person
