Ocean Freight Import Specialist Wanted Location: Torrance, CA Pay: $25 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Ocean Freight Import Specialist to join our team in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities Confirm shipment details with origin offices to initiate shipments. Receive and validate customer orders and shipping documents, including SLI, EIN, and credit applications. Verify fees, customer profiles, SOPs, and shipping rates based on quotes and customer instructions. Monitor shipment status, review pre-alerts, and communicate handling instructions to operations. Coordinate with document processing teams and customers regarding shipment details and exceptions. Identify, communicate, and resolve issues affecting shipment movement. Keep customers informed of shipment status, delays, and exceptions. Qualifications And Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Professional and respectful when working with customers and team members.
