What you'll do
• Own ocean import shipments from pre-alert to final delivery and file closure
• Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, customers, customs brokers, truckers and warehouses
• Review import documents (bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices)
• Coordinate customs clearance and make sure all paperwork is in place
• Monitor vessel arrivals, container availability, releases and delivery requirements
• Track containers and keep shipment milestones up to date
• Give customers proactive updates throughout the shipment
• Watch for demurrage and detention exposure and act early
• Resolve delays, exceptions and documentation discrepancies
• Complete billing accurately and close files on time
What you'll bring
• Ocean import operations experience with a freight forwarder or NVOCC
• Proven ability to run the full ocean import process independently
• Experience managing a high-volume shipment portfolio
• Strong knowledge of ocean import documentation, customs clearance and delivery procedures
• Experience working with shipping lines, overseas agents and customs brokers
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and written and verbal communication
• A proactive, ownership-driven approach: you follow every shipment through to completion
• CargoWise experience highly desirable

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
