th overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, steamship lines, and customs brokers
• Prepare and review import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, ISF filings)
• Track containers and proactively resolve delays, demurrage, and detention issues
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, FDA, and USDA requirements
• Coordinate cold chain and temperature-controlled shipments
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and warehouse teams in English and a second language
• Maintain accurate shipment records and reports
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in ocean freight imports and customs documentation
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required, with strong verbal and written skills
• Knowledge of Incoterms, HTS classification, and customs entry processes
• Experience with food, perishable, or reefer shipments is a strong plus
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple shipments at once
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
