Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Import Forwarding Agent to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the import process of goods via ocean freight, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the imports of goods via ocean freight, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage documentation. Have knowledge of incoterms, DDP, DDU, CIF, FOB, ect Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export declarations. Monitor shipment status and proactively address any issues that may arise during transit. Requirements Proven experience in ocean import forwarding or a related field. Familiarity with transportation management systems and software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and clients. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
