• Prepare and issue shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, pre-alerts, and other required documents.
• Monitor shipments and provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and follow up on pickups, deliveries, and Proofs of Delivery (PODs).
• Obtain and negotiate freight rates with carriers and service providers to support competitive pricing.
• Review and reconcile shipment costs, pending charges, payables, and profit-share requests.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Assist with claims and other shipment-related issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain accurate client status reports and shipment files.
• Ensure files are completed and closed accurately and within established timelines.
• Identify and resolve operational issues while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
• 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with strong experience in Ocean Freight operations.
• Air Freight experience is considered a strong asset.
• Solid understanding of international freight forwarding processes, documentation, and shipment coordination.
• Experience working with ocean carriers, airlines, agents, trucking companies, and other logistics service providers.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with shipping documentation and financial transactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
