y chain solutions for customers worldwide. The Ocean Export Supervisor role supports ocean freight operations by leading teams, improving processes, maintaining service quality, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Role and Responsibilities of Ocean Export Supervisor:
You will oversee the performance and profitability of the local Ocean Export product team, including operations and customer service functions. You will lead ocean freight specialists, manage shipment processes, support customer satisfaction, and ensure operational standards are consistently achieved.
• Manage, oversee, and perform supervisory activities to direct and control end-to-end Ocean Export processes.
• Lead the Ocean Export team to achieve operational performance, profitability, and service goals.
• Act as an escalation point for customer Ocean Export shipments and support resolution of shipment-related concerns.
• Manage financial responsibilities and business results while monitoring key performance indicators.
• Set, communicate, and drive performance metrics to improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safe working practices and maintain security standards for customer shipments and employees.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Ocean Gateway, Trucking, and Handling teams, to improve customer service and process efficiency.
• Partner with sales teams by participating in sales meetings and customer discussions to support business growth.
• Review month-end reports, profit and loss results, and open accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Escalate carrier performance concerns to the US Ocean Freight Product team when required.
• Develop, coach, train, and mentor team members to support employee engagement and team success.
Required Skills and Experience of Ocean Export Supervisor:
• 4+ years of freight forwarding experience required.
• Strong preference for ocean export experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience driving key performance indicators, employee engagement, and team development.
• Strong ability to coach, train, and mentor employees.
• Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and qualifications.
• Basic knowledge of the CargoWise system preferred.
Compensation and Benefits of Ocean Export Supervisor:
The position offers a competitive compensation package based on experience, with a pay range of $68,722.50 - $91,630.00.
