ConfidentialJob Summary Drive freight from Northwest Ohio to Houston, Texas, as a Class A commercial driver with a hazardous materials (Hazmat) endorsement. This route can be run by company driver or O/O. Route starts in Montpelier, OH, to Lima, OH, to Houston, TX for delivery. Reload backhaul and return to Delaware, OH for delivery and return to yard in Montpelier, OH. Load does require HAZMAT endorsement and is approximately 2600 miles. One run per week, approximately 4.5 days out, offers great home time. Late model equipment, bunk pay, $2000 Sign on Bonus. Duties Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, on OTR and local route-driving assignments. Use GPS navigation to follow routes and adapt to road conditions. Load, unload, and secure freight. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with applicable regulations. Handle varied freight and equipment, which may include refrigerated trailers. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. Minimun of 1 year experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or other commercial driving; delivery driver experience. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and hazardous materials regulations. Ability to manage logistics cargo handling, freight loading and unloading, and safe driving practices.
