PURPOSE
Transport prepared food items and supplies from the preparation high school to designated school sites in Nutrition Services’ vehicle; load, unload, and set up prepared food items and supplies; serve and/or cashier as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to perform assigned duties
- Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Communicate and interact with students, school staff and department personnel in a courteous caring manner, using good customer service skills.
- Load and transport prepared food items and supplies from the preparation high school to designed school sites in Nutrition Services’ vehicle; distribute food items and supplies to school site food personnel; assure distribution activities comply with safety and sanitation requirement and HACCP standards.
- Assist with food preparation and serving functions at receiving schools by setting up food lines as directed.
- Perform other deliveries, pick-ups and transport items as directed.
- Perform periodic vehicle safety inspections; reporting maintenance and repair needs to the Cafeteria Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all equipment including truck used in transport of food items.
- Maintain routine records related to deliveries and assigned activities.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager/Director to meet the particular needs of the building/unit.

- Visual Acuity: Close vision ability with the capacity to adjust focus.
- Mobility: Freedom to sit or walk at will throughout the work environment.
- Strength and Stamina: Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds or more.
- Outdoor Work: Tolerance of work outside in various weather conditions.
- Working Conditions: School-based assignments with possible travel between buildings. Frequent Interactions with students with significant behavioral needs. May involve supporting students in crisis situations in accordance with FWCS guidelines.
