Nutrition Inventory & Delivery Coordinator
Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana, Inc.SUMMARY Performs activities related to administrative and technical support for nutrition operations under supervision of Nutrition & Wellness Programs Supervisor focused on supporting Home-Delivered Meal Program drivers, vehicle fleet, and congregate Site Coordinators and Voucher program throughout the nine-county service area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support daily distribution of HDM meals by assisting HDM drivers. Support includes daily routes, pulling inventory by route from freezer/cooler, packing refrigerated vehicles, route organization utilizing GPS or other mapping software, and tracking truck availability Maintain organization and safety of the Nutrition walk-in freezer, including organizing meals by service week, verifying meal orders for accuracy, and reorganizing inventory as supply levels change to support efficient meal distribution and driver access. Manage meal ordering and related meal responsibilities for PACE dining and home-delivered meal programs. Provide backup coverage as needed, including holidays and operating hours outside of the AIHS Nutrition Department’s schedule, to ensure continuity of PACE meal services. Ensure cleaning operations of the nutrition kitchen by wiping down coolers, inventory of walk-in & milk coolers on weekly basis Coordinate vehicle service/repair needs to supervisor and Facilities Manager to ensure maximum operating capacity of fleet Support off-site nutrition programs, congregate, and voucher offerings at main office and at sites throughout nine-county area. Support includes coordinating inventory orders in a timely manner, inventory ordering, physical inventory reconciliation, and distribution of food and supplies Serve as a liaison between main office and all off-site locations including transfer of information, especially data collection and data entry from paperwork into department specific computer system Conduct quality assurance assessments on site locations both congregate and voucher to ensure sites are in accordance with Memorandum of Agreement Assist in training new Site Coordinators Train as Nutrition Driver, and serve as back-up, as needed Train as Nutrition Admin Coordinator, and serve as back-up, as needed Serve as backup Site Coordinator, as needed Coordinate and complete routine supply ordering for the Nutrition Department and designated areas, including office supplies, employee kitchen supplies, and safety closet inventory. Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as needed. Maintain organization and daily cleanliness of employee kitchen including wipe down of counters, emptying/wipe-down of coffee machines, and running / emptying dishwasher. Develop and maintain accurate knowledge of and monitor compliance with HIPAA and agency confidentiality policies Communicate with supervisor daily and report all areas of concern/issues/incidents Demonstrate professionalism in relationships with customers/co-workers/department staff, etc.; build rapport while refraining from inappropriately familiar personal relationships Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma, or general education degree (GED; two years of related experience and/or training in direct service preferred. Effective communicator; dependable; able to follow directions and safety protocols. Driving record must meet requirements of company insurer to operate company-owned vehicle.
