Responsibilities Safely operate non-commercial box trucks, ensuring adherence to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Drive assigned routes efficiently, managing delivery schedules and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Assist with moving services by packing, loading, transporting, and unpacking customer belongings with care. Communicate professionally with customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries or moves. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance; report any maintenance issues promptly. Use mobile devices for route navigation, documentation, and communication with dispatch or team members. Requirements Prior experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or moving services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or vans is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; familiarity with safe lifting practices is a plus. Knowledge of traffic laws, route driving, and adherence to DOT regulations for workplace weight handling. Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients. Comfortable working in physically demanding environments involving heavy lifting and manual tasks. Reliable transportation for personal vehicle delivery or courier services is beneficial.
