Primary Responsibilities
• Coordinate and schedule daily domestic truck shipments.
• Arrange international ocean export container bookings with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Prepare shipping documentation, Bills of Lading, export documents, and related shipping applications.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and inventory movement between warehouses, processing facilities, ports, and customers.
• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate daily with trucking companies, ocean carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers.
• Resolve transportation delays, shipping discrepancies, and logistics issues.
• Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and logistics records.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation/export regulations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, freight forwarding, or export operations.
• Hands-on experience coordinating both domestic trucking and international ocean export container shipments.
• Strong understanding of shipping documentation, Bills of Lading (BOL), export procedures, and inventory coordination.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Experience in the scrap metal, recycling, commodity trading, manufacturing, or international shipping industry is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Chinese) is a plus.
