Overview We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician / Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, and industrial equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other vehicle components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Execute fabrication tasks such as assembly, equipment repair, shock & strut replacement, wheel alignments, tire service, and hydraulic system repairs. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform routine equipment maintenance to prevent future issues. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and offering professional advice on vehicle or equipment maintenance. Skills Proven experience working as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic or truck technician with dealership or industrial background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems (including air brakes), suspension components, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical systems (including automotive electrical system repair), and vehicle systems diagnostics. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery such as Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other mechanical repair devices. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes (including service technician experience), forklifts (certified preferred), tractors-trailers, farm machinery or industrial equipment. Ability to perform alignment procedures accurately; familiar with tire service and shocks & struts replacement. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting operations and vehicle maintenance environments. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail; able to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines. Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to explain repairs clearly to clients.
