Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)Driver

Job Description GoGo Trans Inc. is seeking dependable, professional, and compassionate drivers to join our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) team. Our drivers provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for ambulatory and wheelchair-bound passengers traveling to medical appointments, dialysis treatments, healthcare facilities, and other approved destinations throughout designated areas of Chicagoland (cook county) and Indiana.The ideal candidate is punctual, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering exceptional passenger service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude. Key Responsibilities Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled medical appointments and other authorized destinations. Assist ambulatory and wheelchair-bound passengers with entering and exiting vehicles. Properly secure wheelchairs and follow established passenger safety procedures. Provide courteous, professional door-to-door transportation assistance. Maintain professional, courteous, and effective communication with members and dispatch to ensure smooth coordination of transportation services. Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized vehicle. Accurately complete trip documentation and promptly report delays, incidents, or vehicle concerns. Maintain passenger confidentiality and comply with company safety standards. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. High school diploma or GED required. Current CPR certification required. Defensive Driving and PASS certifications preferred or willingness to obtain. Previous NEMT, passenger transportation, or professional driving experience preferred. Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility limitations. Excellent customer service and time-management skills. Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and remain calm, adaptable, and professional in challenging or fast-paced situations.Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently. Must successfully complete required background checks, drug screening, and employment screenings.
