Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Overview As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, you’ll help clients reach medical appointments and other scheduled destinations safely and reliably. You’ll operate a passenger vehicle or van, follow assigned local routes, and communicate clearly with clients and dispatch. This role calls for attentive driving, dependable service, and respect for each passenger’s needs. Responsibilities Pick up and transport clients according to scheduled trips, assisting with safe entry and exit as appropriate Use GPS navigation and local route knowledge to reach destinations while adhering to traffic laws and state transportation regulations Communicate trip details, delays, and client needs clearly and professionally Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly Use safe manual handling practices when assisting passengers or handling mobility equipment; perform heavy lifting only when required and safe Experience Required: Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record, with the ability to follow applicable transportation regulations Required: Strong communication and customer service skills, reliability, and care when working with passengers Preferred: Medical transportation, paratransit, passenger van, shuttle, bus, or van driving experience Related experience in delivery driving, personal vehicle delivery, chauffeur or limousine driving is also valuable Familiarity with GPS navigation, vehicle maintenance, and safe passenger vehicle operation is an asset Your impact: Safe, considerate trips help clients access appointments and arrive with greater confidence.
