Responsibilities Safely operate various passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttle buses, and personal vehicles to transport clients on local routes. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit. Follow GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan routes and meet scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any maintenance issues promptly. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm appointments, provide excellent customer service, and address any special needs or concerns. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies to ensure safe operations at all times. Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or in a similar passenger vehicle operation role. Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., chauffeur license or commercial driver’s license preferred). Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes. Experience with medical transportation services or paratransit operations is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Knowledge of traffic regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
