Job Summary Looking for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver. Able to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for individuals requiring medical assistance. In this role, you will operate passenger vehicles such as vans and sedans to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles on local routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and transportation regulations. Transport clients to medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other designated locations with professionalism and care. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety and comfort at all times. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm pick-up times, destinations, and special requirements, fostering a positive experience. Follow all state transportation regulations and company policies to ensure compliance and safety standards are met consistently. Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs for reporting purposes. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning. Experience operating various passenger vehicles such as vans, buses or shuttles is preferred. Knowledge of local driving routes, traffic regulations, and state transportation laws necessary for safe operation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients. Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with dispatch or healthcare facilities. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are upheld.
