Based from: Casselberry, FL | Nationwide Travel Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Compensation: $225-$250 per day TransMedCare LLC provides long-distance, non-emergency medical transportation throughout the continental United States. We are seeking dependable Medical Transport Drivers to work as independent contractors on multi-day, state-to-state patient transport assignments. This is not a local driving job or a traditional Monday-Friday schedule. Medical Transport Drivers travel as part of a three-person transport crew, typically with another driver and a medical crew member. Assignments are scheduled based on patient transportation needs and may begin or end on any day of the week, including weekends. Contractors must be prepared to remain on assignment for 5-10 consecutive days when needed. What You'll Do Safely drive medical transport vans on long-distance, state-to-state trips. Work as part of a three-person transport crew with another driver and a medical crew member. Follow assigned routes, driving shifts, and company trip instructions. Use a smartphone for GPS navigation, communication, and required documentation. Complete daily trip logs, vehicle checks, and required trip documentation. Complete daily preventive maintenance checks and report vehicle concerns promptly. Help keep the driver area, passenger area, and assigned vehicle spaces clean and organized. Check vehicle inventory, supplies, and equipment as directed. Report missing supplies, equipment issues, vehicle concerns, safety issues, or trip delays. Assist with safe trip flow, communication, and general non-medical support during transport. Accommodate family members or passengers when they are traveling with the patient. Follow company policies, procedures, safety expectations, and crew instructions. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Must be 25 years of age or older due to insurance carrier requirements. Valid driver's license DOT Medical Card Defensive Driving Certification Clean and acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a national background check and drug screening. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Strong communication skills. Comfortable using smartphones, GPS applications, mobile technology, and electronic documentation. Able to safely share long-distance driving responsibilities with another driver. Able to work independently while coordinating with the transport crew and TransMedCare. Reliable transportation to our Casselberry, Florida location or designated assignment starting point. Willing and able to travel by air when required. Able to travel throughout the continental 48 states. Available for 5-10 consecutive days per assignment, including weekends. Assignments may start and end on any day of the week. Able to work in transport environments where a patient or accompanying passenger may travel with a pet. Pet exposure may occur during an assignment and cannot always be known in advance. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance. Professional appearance and dependable attendance. Preferred Experience Long-distance driving experience. Professional driving, transportation, courier, delivery, shuttle, or medical transportation experience. Experience working in a team-based travel environment. Experience completing logs, vehicle checks, inspection forms, or trip documentation. Compensation Individual Independent Contractor: $225 per day Qualifying Business Independent Contractor with workers' compensation exemption: $250 per day Independent Contractor Opportunity This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position.
