Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Summary As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, you’ll help clients reach appointments and other destinations safely and on time. You’ll operate a passenger vehicle, van, or passenger van, follow local routes, and provide clear, respectful service throughout each trip. Your impact: Safe, dependable rides help clients access care and give them greater confidence during travel. **Please note that given hourly rates reflect an average taken from recent payroll. All of our drivers work on commission, earning a flat loading fee plus mileage for each trip taken. Commission rates are given in writing to each applicant and every driver sees their commissions as they earn them. Responsibilities Drive clients according to scheduled routes and instructions, using GPS navigation when needed. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle and handle mobility equipment or other items safely. Communicate pickup details, delays, and trip updates clearly with clients and relevant contacts. Follow traffic regulations and applicable state transportation regulations. Inspect and maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness; report maintenance needs promptly. Experience Required: Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record, with the ability to follow applicable transportation rules. Valid NYS Class E license or CDL (any class) with P (passenger) endorsement 3 year driving record to prove clean driving record If CDL, a copy of your most recent DOT physical or the ability to pass a new one Preferred : Medical transportation, delivery driver, bus, van, shuttle, limousine, chauffeur, or personal vehicle delivery experience. Experience operating passenger vehicles and navigating local driving routes is helpful. Strong customer service, client communication, and general communication skills are valued.
