Non-CDL Driver for Moving Company, $1000 Sign-on Bonus Local Non-CDL Driver/Mover/Crew Leader. Duties include furniture moving, packing, wrapping, inventory and driving non-CDL truck to transport household goods and commercial equipment for residential and commercial customers, supervising moving crew. Starting pay $17-19 per hour, paid weekly Full-time, Monday through Friday, overtime available Sign-on bonus will be paid in 3 installments over 6 months of employment Dress Code: Uniforms Provided Requirements: Must have experience driving non-CDL commercial vehicles/box trucks Must be able to wrap, carry, and move household furniture including up and down stairs Moving industry experience preferred Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years Must be at least 21 years old Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check Wear company approved uniform and maintain a clean and professional appearance Be punctual, hard-working, and reliable Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Load and unload vans, warehouse vaults, overseas crates, and move household goods and commercial equipment. Lift, carry, and load household goods and commercial items into moving trucks for transport to and from customer locations, including up and down stairs. Pad-wrap furniture and pack items into moving cartons with care to ensure items are undamaged while properly utilizing moving equipment and established best practices. Operate pack vans and/or straight trucks in a safe manner in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies. Supervise and provide instructions to crew members. Prepare an inventory of items to ensure no items are lost during transportation. Keep track of inventories and pack counts. Plan and supervise the most efficient way to pack items into the moving truck or warehouse crate. Unload, deliver, correctly place and set-up household goods and commercial items inside customer homes and facilities. Respond to inquiries and requests from customers in a knowledgeable and professional way.
