Start a Lifelong Career with Wood Systems! Wood Systems, a subsidiary of Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company, is a leading provider of custom wood products for the construction industry. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Non-CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for both local delivery driving and daily warehouse operations. When making deliveries, you will safely transport custom millwork and other building materials to customers and job sites. When you are not driving, you will work in the warehouse assisting with shipping and receiving, loading and unloading materials, preparing orders, inventory, and other warehouse duties. Position Overview The Non-CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate plays an important role in keeping Wood Systems' warehouse and delivery operations running smoothly. This position will assist with getting finished products ready for delivery, loading and securing materials, making local deliveries, and helping with warehouse operations between deliveries. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable with physical work, and able to stay productive whether they are on the road or working in the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving Duties: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products. Pull, pick, and stage finished products and materials for customer orders and scheduled deliveries. Load trucks and trailers for daily deliveries. Assist with cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Training will be provided if needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard. Help keep products organized and protected from damage while stored in the warehouse. Delivery / Driving Duties: Make local deliveries of custom millwork, doors, trim, and other finished products to residential construction sites. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials. Verify that the correct materials are being delivered and that orders are complete. Provide professional and courteous service to customers, builders, contractors, and installation teams. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Complete daily vehicle inspections Follow all federal, state, and local driving laws and company safety procedures. Immediately report any citations, accidents, vehicle issues, or safety concerns. Will be required to assist installers with offloading the truck Will be required to keep the necessary PPE on hand and readily available, even when working on job sites Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Previous driver experience, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or delivery preferred. Ability to safely load, unload, carry, and move building materials. (50-100 lbs.) Strong attention to detail and ability to verify orders and materials. Good communication and customer service skills. Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be willing to perform physical warehouse and delivery work throughout the day.
