Non-CDL Delivery Driver (Mon-Fri)

Job Summary EIR Testing & Maintenance has an immediate opening for a full-time (35-40 hrs) Monday-Friday delivery driver. The driver will be responsible to independently deliver electrical equipment to/from electric cooperatives throughout the upper Midwest safely in our box trucks or pickup trucks. The position often requires 4:00 - 5:00AM start times from our shop south of Farmington, MN. The position requests compliance with DOT documentation and driving standards. The driver is expected to professionally represent EIR Testing & Maintenance while driving and while working with customers. In most cases, equipment is palletized and moved with a pallet jack and forklift (minimal repetitive lifting requirements), however, the driver will be responsible for securing equipment with strapping for safe transport. Routes are variable in location and distance, therefore, hours per day are variable. The driver can expect an overnight stay on average 3 times per month. Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a 26’ non-CLD box truck to assigned locations to deliver/retrieve electrical equipment. Conduct required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of assigned equipment. Navigate assigned routes while accounting for traffic, weather, and site conditions. Assist cooperative staff in loading equipment. In most cases, equipment is palletized and moved with a pallet jack and forklift. Secure equipment with strapping for safe transport per EIR requirements prior to transport. Maintain professional and friendly interactions with customers and coworkers. Monitor and report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Required Qualifications Valid non-CDL driver’s license Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in order to meet DOT compliance standards Must pass DOT medical exam (EIR Testing and Maintenance will pay for DOT medical exam) Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with others Ability to sit for extended periods Ability to push/pull pallet jack with pallets weighing up to 2000 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently Willing to work flexible hours.
