Responsibilities Safely operate a non-CDL box truck to deliver goods to various locations within designated routes. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Verify delivery orders, ensure accurate documentation, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the truck is in optimal condition. Follow all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during route driving to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to confirm routes, report issues, or update delivery statuses. Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including material handling and moving inventory within the facility. Load & unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace and preventing damage or injury. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and interactions with clients. Skills Previous warehouse experience combined with delivery driver experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with box trucks, manual transmission driving, and route driving is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling and safe lifting practices. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar tools. Knowledge of warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures and inventory movement. Strong understanding of traffic regulations, DOT requirements, and weight handling in the workplace. Excellent customer service skills with clear communication via mobile devices during route execution.
