Night Shift Warehouse Operations Manager

S&W Wholesale Foods is Louisiana’s leading independent food service supplier and is on the move. We are searching for an experienced Night Shift Operations Manager to join our growing team. This position provides leadership and supervision of the night shift operations functions (warehousing and distribution) on the night shift to ensure outbound trucks are loaded properly, efficiently and safely each night. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Leads a team of production paid warehouse associates and pallet jack operators.
• Provides coaching, guidance, management and direction to the team.
• Provides strong leadership in safety, performance management, employee development and training, inventory management, and problem solving.
• Assists in leading the safety effort - improves and reinforces the safety program and safety culture.
• Works collaboratively as a member of the management team to continuously improve the operating procedures.
• Provides superior customer service and excellent financial return to the company.
• Works closely with the sales team to meet customer service expectations (e.g., scheduling and order fulfillment).
• Ensures all trucks are full and ready for the drivers at 04:30am Monday-Friday
• Ability to multitask 
• Ensure all shorts are found or substituted (if applicable)
• Performing other duties, as assigned.

• Working knowledge of effective inventory management and distribution practices.
• Ability to motivate, influence and encourage a diverse group with varied skill levels and backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships across multiple functions.
• Ability to effectively coach and develop a team-oriented, customer service driven operation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, a high level of initiative, commitment. to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
• Must be proficient using MS Office.
• Must be able to handle administrative duties expected of a manager such as hiring, firing, performance evaluations and more.
• Positive, committed to being a team player and a high achiever.
• Must be able to work nights.
• Able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
• Able to lift 60lbs.
• Able to operate a reach truck and a walkie pallet jack.
• Experience in performance management and effective leadership. 
• Must pass pre and post-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries.

• Good Communication kills: Ability to Work Well on a Team but Be SELF-MOTIVATED and Independent at Times.
• Perform additional duties assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years or more of Supervisory/Lead experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stay on your feet for long periods of time and work open-ended shifts until all work is completed for the night.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures.
