Night Shift Forklift operator
Three D Metals, INc.Schedule: 7:30pm – 6am Sunday thru Thursday Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This position supports production, shipping, and receiving operations by ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate locations and products are properly stored, staged, and loaded for shipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts to move materials and finished products throughout the facility. Deliver raw materials and other production supplies to designated machines and work areas. Remove finished products from production areas and place them in designated storage locations. Pull, stage, and organize finished products for customer shipments. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Read and understand packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation. Empty hoppers and assist with material handling throughout the plant. Perform routine forklift inspections and report equipment or safety concerns. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and proper material-handling practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
