Night Shift Flatbed Tow Truck Operator Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Night Shift Flatbed Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to provide professional vehicle towing and recovery services during overnight hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, including cars and other motorized units, utilizing flatbed tow trucks. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and efficient vehicle recovery operations. An active TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) license is mandatory to qualify for this role. Responsibilities Conduct car towing operations, ensuring vehicles are transported securely and efficiently. Perform vehicle recovery towing, including the safe retrieval of disabled or damaged vehicles from accident scenes or difficult locations. Safely load vehicles onto the flatbed tow truck, adhering to proper loading procedures to prevent damage or accidents. Operate flatbed tow trucks with precision and professionalism during night shifts, maintaining safety protocols at all times. Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of the tow truck to ensure optimal operational condition. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers, providing updates on towing status when necessary. Follow all safety guidelines and traffic laws while on duty to ensure personal safety and that of others. Qualifications Valid TDLR license is required; active certification must be maintained throughout employment. Prior experience in car towing and vehicle recovery is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary. Ability to operate flatbed tow trucks safely during night hours in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and customer service. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Physical ability to lift, load, and secure vehicles onto the tow truck as needed.
