Night Grocery Driver | Moberly Area | $0.49-$0.61/Mile + Stop Pay Here's how a shift plays out on this regional grocery run. EVENING: You pick up your reefer, which is either preloaded or loaded while you wait, and head out on a regional round trip. OVERNIGHT: You deliver to grocery stores. The stores unload, so you're not touching freight. Depending on the load, you'll do live loads, live unloads, preloads or drop and hooks. MORNING: You finish the loop. Choose home daily or home weekly, whichever fits your life. THE PAY Most drivers average about $1,400 a week, roughly $72,800 a year. $0.49 to $0.61 per mile to start, based on experience $10 for your first stop, then $15 for every stop after An extra $0.03 per mile on weekend miles (Friday 5 p.m. to Monday 4 a.m.) Bonus programs on top THE CALENDAR Nights, with weekend work required. Thanksgiving and Christmas are off. WHO CAN START New to driving: a valid Class A CDL and at least 120 hours of CDL training. No experience needed. Already driving: 6 months of OTR experience after training within the last 12 months, or 12 months in the past 5 years. Everyone needs to live within 50 miles of Moberly and pass urine and hair follicle drug screening.
