Now hiring: Class 1 Professional Driver (Newfoundland based) We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Professional Driver for an immediate opening. We are a company from Sydney, Nova Scotia, and we are specifically looking for a driver from Newfoundland to run our established routes. Voted “Employer of Choice” Requirements Minimum 25 years of age Ability to complete a Pre Access Drug and Alcohol Test Provide Criminal Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years of driving Must have Class 1 verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle Ability to follow written and/or oral English instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or provincial/state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining legal Hours of Service and E-logs Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer Performs other duties as assigned Tom MacDonald Trucking is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
