Yasufuku USAInternational Purchasing & Inventory Associate Reports to: R&D Purchasing Department: Purchasing / Supply Chain Position summary The International Purchasing & Inventory Assistant supports purchasing, inventory control, and new-business coordination. The role helps ensure materials are ordered from international suppliers in line with MRP requirements, inventory records are accurate, and purchasing activities meet operational timelines. Key responsibilities Review MRP requirements and prepare purchase orders for international suppliers. Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to support timely delivery and resolve routine order issues. Support inventory control by maintaining accurate records and investigating discrepancies. Assist with project coordination for new business, including tracking purchasing and material-related action items. Reconcile month-end inventory valuations and help research variances. Maintain purchasing and inventory data; prepare reports as needed. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a changing environment. Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable safety rules. Cross-train and provide support to other departments as requested. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong reading comprehension, written and verbal communication, and basic math skills. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills. Previous experience in manufacturing, inventory control, or purchasing—especially international purchasing—is preferred. Familiarity with MRP systems is an asset. Physical and work requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, with reasonable accommodations where applicable. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with reasonable accommodations where applicable. Regular and punctual attendance is an expectation of the role. Safety glasses are required in designated areas.
